Particle Array

Having already made an attempt at creating an explosion using the bomb tool linked with a sphere gizmo, I have now tried the other method of using a particle array and creating fire to create an explosion with an aftermath of a spreading fire.

As the bomb has not been created yet, for this test, a sphere has just been made to serve as the bomb. To begin with, a particle array has been chosen with the building selected as the object. The building needed to be ungrouped for this to work, so there will have to be multiple PArrays assigned to different parts of the building. This will also help to add some variation, as different seeds can be used and the start time can be slightly different, as the points nearest to the impact would be the ones to explode ever so slightly earlier.

Isolation mode has been entered for the purpose of this practise, as I don't want to accidentally select part of something else in the scenery. Note: I have already tried to use the reactor tool with the sphere to create a bombing effect, however, because the building is not just a simple shape, the impact didn't look effective enough, so this technique and the bomb technique will be used instead with fire and sphere gizmos.

The texture was then picked from the object that the array was linked to and the main object then lost its visibility at the frame that the PArray began. This has the above effect when rendered in isolation mode.
